Primary Abilities

For combat based characters Constitution, Dexterity, and Strength are their primary abilities.

Weapons Group Bonus

Combatants may use 3 from this list: Axes, Bludgeons, Bows, Heavy Blades, Light Blades, Spears, or Staves.

Starting Health

Combatants start play with 30 + Constitution + 1d6 health.

Stamina Bonus

Combatants start play with 6 + Essence + 1d6 stamina.

Class Powers

Level 1

Taunt: For 3 stamina a combatant can perform a taunt on an opponent. It is an opposed check of Communication (Persuasion) versus Willpower (Self-discipline).

Starting Talent: Combatants become a novice in two of the following talents: Archery Style,
Dual Weapon Style, Single Weapon Style, Throwing Weapon Style, Two-Hander Style, or Weapon and Shield Style. You also start as a novice in Armor Training.

Thick Skin: Due to the fact that combatants are tough, they gain +1 to their Armor score.

Level 2

New Stunt: A combatant may choose a new stunt from the stunt list.

Flurry of blows: For 3 stamina points a Combatant may attack twice sacrificing his move.

Level 3

New Talent: A combatant may choose a new talent or advance one already acquired.

New Ability Focus: You now gain one of the following ability focuses: Cunning (Military Lore), Dexterity (Riding), or Strength (Climbing).

Level 4

New Stunt: A combatant may choose a new stunt from the stunt list.

Flurry of blows: For 2 stamina points a Combatant may attack twice after their move action.

Level 5

New Talent: A combatant may choose a new talent or advance one already acquired.

New Weapon Group: A Combatant may choose a new weapon group to become proficient in.

Level 6

Class Specialization: If you have not already chosen a specialization you may take one combatant specialization now.

New Stunt: A combatant may choose a new stunt from the stunt list.

Flurry of blows: For 1 stamina points a Combatant may attack twice after their move action.

Level 7

New Talent: A combatant may choose a new talent or advance one already acquired.

Stunning Strike: A combatant may opt to stun their opponent instead of dealing damage. The stunned opponent cannot do anything for the number of rounds equal to the Combatant’s strength.

Level 8

Class Specialization Advance: You may advance the specialization talent you chose at level 6.

New Stunt: A Combatant may choose a new stunt from the stunt list.

Flurry of blows: This is now a free action and allows an extra move. (ex. move, attack, move, attack.)
